Bio
After twenty-five years in business-to-business communications sales I retired and attended art school full time in 1998. Beginning as a clerk keeping records with paper and pencil, I exited the corporate world as a Regional Sales Manager right at the dawn of the Information Age. The opportunity allowed me to pursue my plan of becoming an artist. Graduating University of the Arts 2002 BFA Degree in Multimedia and Communications, I studied photography at Philadelphia University with Jack Carnell in the Digital Design Masters Degree Program in 2003. I have been designing websites and exhibiting my photography in art shows and competitions since 2004. In 2008 I began writing an art blog called DoNArTNeWs now 500,000 hits YTD. I have written more than 400 stories about the Philadelphia art scene and a contributing writer to Philly.SideArts.com, writing stories for the blog about arts topics relevant to a national audience.

Artist statement
Returning to art school at age 45, my dream was to become a multimedia mogul developing identities for clients across a wide platform of media outlets. My background in the “knowledge” business combined with fine arts training in emerging technologies seemed a sure thing. Much of this dream has come true, except that I work alone, my computers and cameras are my team and my studio is in my home. I now consider myself a computer artist. I minored in drawing in college and have pursued painting; drawing and painting informs and influences my computer work, my photography and video.
